Bee'ah, Sharjah-based environment and waste management company, has showcased several sustainable technologies, advanced solutions, innovative tools and equipment to improve the waste management process across the UAE, at the UAE Innovation Week, which began yesterday.

The innovation week in Sharjah is being held at the Expo Centre Sharjah under the auspices of the Sharjah Consultative Council, and is a part of a nationwide celebration of innovation and one of the largest innovation initiatives in the region.

One of the innovations featured was the Recycling Vending Machines, RVMs. These machines are designed to help promote and encourage recycling, and will be placed in public locations including malls, educational institutes and many more areas across Sharjah and Dubai.

The company also showcased its mobile app, the first of its kind in the region, which provides users with unrivalled customer experiences and facilitates interactive communication. The location-based mobile app enables users to submit specialised collection requests by geo-tagging the location of a photo.

Speaking at the event, Fahad Shehail, Chief Development Officer of Bee'ah, said, "We are pleased to be collaborating with the UAE's Innovation Week. At Bee'ah, innovation has been the core of all our operations, which is why we are leading the way in the environmental field, not only in Sharjah, but in the UAE. Many of our products and solutions are the first of their kind in the region as well as the world, and they have been designed to support the government's efforts to develop an innovation-driven economy."

"Our RVM's, mobile app, Wi-Fi bins and electric desert cleaning vehicles support and contribute to the Sharjah's vision to become the environmental capital of the Middle East," he added.

Bee'ah also presented their state-of-the-art, Wi-Fi supported, solar-powered smart bins, equipped with intelligent sensors, which detect when the bin is full, communicating this data to the control room of their collection service in Tandeef

The company's new Desert Cleaning Electric Vehicle, is the first of its kind in the UAE, and is the latest addition to its existing line of electric vehicles. These vehicles can carry a weight up to 225 kilograms, and a towing capacity of 750 kilograms.
