Work has today started to repair the houses which were damaged due to the terrorist oil pipeline blast near the village of Buri.
The move follows directives from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister.
The Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Ministry has appointed three contractors to undertake the necessary repairs.
A technical team from the ministry has surveyed the damages, in coordination with other competent authorities, in addition to the Northern Governorate and the owners of the houses.
“Efforts are being coordinated with relevant agencies to implement the directives which reflect the keenness of the wise leadership on ensuring citizens’ security and providing required services”, said Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf.
Assistant Undersecretary for Municipal Services Raed Al-Salah and the technical team visited the damaged houses to check their safety and assess the required repairs.
