Cairo - MENA

Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab on Saturday decided to take all measures to stop allocating any sites overlooking the Nile River or the Mediterranean and Red Seas to establish any facilities.

During a cabinet meeting, Mahlab decided to designate corniche Nile area as public utilities and directed the government to prepare plans and initiatives to promote domestic tourism.

The meeting was attended by the ministers of local development, aviation, interior and tourism as well as the governors of South Sinai, Red Sea, Luxor and Alexandria.

During the meeting, measures taken to secure vital facilities and tourist destinations nationwide were reviewed, said cabinet spokesman Hossam Qawish.
