Minister of Energy Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza received in his office at the National Oil and Gas Authority’s premises this afternoon the friendly Japanese Empires Ambassador in the Kingdom Mr. Shigeki Sumi, so as to follow up on the outcomes of the successful recent visit of HM the King to Japan. The Minister welcomed the Japanese Ambassador, praising existing historic bilateral relations between the two friendly countries in all economic and oil spheres. The Minister asserted the need to develop these relations especially in the area of oil, gas and energy, citing the Kingdom of Bahrain’s benefitting from Japanese expertise in various fields including oil, gas and energy as Japanese firms worked on implementing a number of oil projects for National Oil and Gas Authority’s affiliated companies. During the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of significant issues and aspects of cooperation between the two friendly countries in the area of investment and potential opportunities in the energy sector. The Minister pointed out available potentials for boosting aspects of bilateral cooperation in order to serve both friendly countries and peoples. On the other hand, the Japanese Ambassador expressed utmost gratitude and appreciation to the Minister of Energy for the good reception, praising existing bilateral cooperation between both friendly countries in all spheres. The Ambassador aspired to developing bilateral Bahraini-Japanese cooperation relations in order to realize the hopes and ambitions of both friendly countries and peoples.
