Kuwait emir inaugurates 'Sinyar 8' environmental campaign

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Wednesday inaugurated the national campaign for the protection of the marine environment (Sinyar 8) at Bayan Palace.
His Highness the Amir deputized His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to attend the ceremony.
During the ceremony, His Highness Sheikh Nawaf received Minister of Oil, Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs and head of the supreme environmental council Dr. Ali Al-Omair and the Sinyar team of volunteers.
Sheikh Nawaf lauded the team for their efforts in the protection of the marine environment and the example they were setting for their peers in this area.
The launching ceremony was attended by Speaker of the National Assembly Marzouq Al-Ghanim, His Highnness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Deputy Minister of the Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Ali Jarrah Al-Sabah, in addition to other ministers and state officials
