A new one-stop shopping agency in Dubai is now open to help consumers and corporations make more informed decisions on how to reduce the impact of human activity on the environment. The Change Initiative, located next to Ibis Hotel on Shaikh Zayed Road in Al Barsha, was officially opened on Tuesday by Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chairman and CEO of Emirates airline and Group. Gundeep Singh, founder and CEO of the Change Initiative, said the new 5,110 square-metre facility is aimed at promoting sustainable solutions in keeping with the national vision of the UAE. "Our project aspires to influence responsible, sustainable behaviours by introducing new solutions that can trigger small but smart lifestyle changes in the UAE community," he said in a statement. Singh said his own company is leading by example after implementing and rigorously following its own ecologically sustainable recommendations. "As a company, we have already implemented these solutions in our workplace and initiated lifestyle changes within our employee base," he said. "Our company firmly believes in sustainability and at The Change Initiative, we practise what we preach." To assist customers become leaders in their respective industries, Singh said that his company works with more than 50 global brands such as Siematic, Volkswagen, IBM, Schneider, Vitra and Ecover. Singh pledged that the new service will help those "who are interested in making environmentally responsible purchases for their home or in the workplace from energy-saving light bulbs and eco-friendly detergents to sustainable furniture and other innovative, technological solutions".
