A Massachusetts man who spent 45 minutes wrestling with a shark said he's caught more than 100 sharks with his bare hands. Elliot Sudal, 24, of Nantucket, said he was fishing Sunday with his cousins when he reeled in a bluefish that had been bitten in half, CNN reported Wednesday. "I get back half a bluefish. It's got the stereotypical shark bite out of it," he said. Sudal said he threw the half-fish back into the water in hopes of luring its killer back into the open and he jumped into the water when he spotted the sandbar shark. Sudal wrestled the shark onto a nearby beach. "That particular shark took about 45 minutes to get in," he said. "It was probably 7 feet long and 200 pounds." Sudal said he released the shark after taking a picture on the beach. "I always let them go. I'm not trying to hurt the sharks," he said. Sudal said he has caught more than 100 sharks with his bare hands during the past eight months, mostly in Florida. He said Sunday was the first time he has wrestled a shark in Nantucket.
