The Tajikistani government invited Egypt's Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab to partake in the "High-level International Conference on the Implementation of the International Decade for Action (Water for Life)", which takes place on June 9-11 in Dushanbe.
In a statement released by the Tajikistani embassy in Cairo, the government said it welcomes Egypt's participation in the conference as it is a pivotal state in the region.
The main objective of the conference is to discuss all issues related to the implementation of the “International Decade for Action “Water for Life” (2005 – 2015), the statement said.
This would help conduct overall revision for the International Decade.
Also, the conference will touch on challenges that hinder the implementation of the International Decade, the statement added.
Acting on recommendations of the conference, many further measure will be taken to achieve goals of sustainable development of water resources, the statement read.
