The Noubarya-Sadat-Edfu gas pipeline project, worth EGP 590 million, has ben completed, the Petroleum Ministry said Friday.
Minister of Petroleum and Natural Resources Sherif Ismail received a report about the project from the chief of GASCO Company, the main operator of the national natural gas pipeline network.
The project aims at boosting the national natural gas pipeline network to reinforce its capacity, and reach its maximum operation limit in order to meet the needs of power plants along with supplying industrial zones and homes in Edfu and South Valley with natural gas.
The project took three years to be completed. The prolonged time was rendered to the turmoil that Egypt has faced in the recent years.
