Diesel fuel is widely available in all stations owned by Misr Petroleum Company and Co-op Petroleum Company nationwide, heads of both companies said on Thursday.
Chairman of Misr Petroleum Company Mohamed Shaaban said all the company's stations across Egypt, totaling 1,014, have enough quantities of diesel fuel, noting that additional amounts were pumped into the petrol stations to reduce the number of awaiting cars there.
For his part, Chairman of Co-op Petroleum Company Asem Abdel Ghani said the company owns 1,038 petrol stations nationwide, stressing that additional amounts of diesel were pumped into the stations to meet the increased demands on diesel.
Moreover, Abdel Ghani blamed a rumor of increasing petroleum products' prices for the diesel crisis in Egypt.
It is worth mentioning that the two companies own 71% of the total number of petrol stations in Egypt.
