Deputy Electricity Minister Engineer Osama Asran
Cairo - MENA

Deputy Electricity Minister Engineer Osama Asran asserted on Thursday that the Egyptian electricity sector seeks to achieve integration with the Nile Basin Countries.
He added that the sector also is keen to provide all forms of technical support in various electricity fields and qualify the cadres of these countries as well as holding workshops to mull over any new developments in the electricity field.
Asran made his remarks during the graduation ceremony of 45 trainees of three training courses that cover the operation and maintenance of water stations, the operation and maintenance of diesel-operated power plants and renewable energy technologies.
He pointed out that these courses have been offered to trainees from Burundi, Sudan ,South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda and Ethiopia.
These courses come within the framework of a cooperation deal with African countries to qualify their cadres in the field of electricity, according to Asran.
