Egyptian minister calls for financing renewable energy projects in Africa

Environment Minister Khaled Fahmy on Monday called for providing financial support for the renewable energy projects in the African continent.
During a meeting with renewable energy experts to develop an Egyptian vision for initiatives, the minister said the various sources in Africa would be used to fill the energy gap in the continent to support investment and development, provide job opportunities and fight poverty.
Egyptian expertise will be used to build African capacity in managing the energy system and opening African markets to Egyptian cadres in the public and private sectors, the minister added.
