Energy Minister Dr. Abdul Hussein bin Ali Mirza today has held a meeting with the Chief Executive Officer of the European-Arab Development Company, currently on visit to the kingdom.They discussed economic and financial issues, especially those related to energy. They also reviewed the company's projects in the fields of alternative and renewable energy, particularly those related to generating electricity from solar power and operating it according to the build-operate-transfer (BOT) contracts system. In this context, Dr. Mirza expressed the kingdom's readiness to cooperate and coordinate with specialized world companies in order to boost the energy sector in the kingdom. On his part, the CEO of the Euro-Arab Development Company lauded the development projects currently carried out by the Electricity and Water Authority and the National Oil and Gas Authority, which, he said, will improve the kingdom's economy.
