Iran's Vice-President and Head of the Department of Environment (DoE) Masoumeh Ebtekar and Norwegian Foreign Minister Borge Brende, in a meeting on Sunday, voiced their enthusiasm for expansion of environmental cooperation, particularly in using clean energy resources.
Speaking in the meeting in Tehran, Ebtekar said that the Iranian government has always made efforts to foster environmental relations with other countries.
She reiterated that Iran is ready to enhance its mutual cooperation with Norway to generate renewable energy.
Brende, for his part, said Norway attaches great importance to expansion of all-out ties with Iran.
Norway is fully ready to foster cooperation with Iran in the fields of climate change and biodiversity conservation.
Iranian and Norwegian officials have in recent years boosted their efforts to further expand relations between the two countries in different fields.
