Visiting Kuwaiti Minister of Electricity and Water Abdulaziz Al-Ibrahim stressed on Monday the significance of the Third Vienna Energy Forum due here on Tuesday. The forum will attract over 1,500 figures, including heads of state, prime ministers, ministers and energy experts as well as representative of non-governmental organizations (NGOs), the minister said in a news release upon arrival to attend the forum. He said he will hold meetings with a number of participating cabinet ministers on the sidelines of the forum on energy-bearing issues which were discussed during a recent Arab League meeting. The conferees are to thrash out a set of subjects pertinent to energy systems and anti-energy poverty efforts, the minister pointed out. The Third Vienna Energy Forum will be co-organized by the UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), he said.
