Tarek Hawari, the CEO of TAQA Gas, a subsidiary of TAQA Arabia, said on Tuesday that the company has signed a cooperation protocol with the Petroleum Ministry to deliver the natural gas to 313,000 houses within three years as of current fiscal year at investments of 780 million pounds.
The provinces of Beni Suef, Minya, Assiut, Damietta and Kafr el-Sheikh are the targeted areas during the current stage, Hawari told MENA.
This stage will focus on Upper Egypt to open new horizons for development and alleviate burdens of the government in subsidizing the butane gas cylinders.
