Pakistani Sindh Province Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah voiced his country's eagerness to cooperate with Iranian economic activists to invest in the country's energy sector.
In a meeting with Iran's Ambassador to Pakistan Rasoul Eslami, Ali Shah said Sindh has good potential of investment especially in energy sector and invited Iranian investors to seize these opportunities, Daily Times reported.
He said that Sindh has wind corridors from 40 to 45 kilometers of length where Iran-Pak Wind Power Limited was already working to establish 50 megawatts wind power project but the government was eager to allot more land to other Iranian investors for more investments in wind energy sector.
Iran and Pakistan have exchanged delegations on a regular basis and the two neighboring countries are keen to expedite expansion of their bilateral ties.
In October, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Pakistani Prime Minister’s Adviser for Political and Security Affairs Sartaj Aziz in a meeting in Beijing conferred on the latest developments in bilateral ties as well as regional and international developments.
