Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab met on Monday with visiting head of the Russian Federal Atomic Energy Agency and his accompanying delegation.
Mahlab hailed Russian expertise in the field of building plants for generating nuclear energy, Cabinet spokesman Hossam Qawish said.
Egypt is keen to benefit from different international experiences, including Russia’s, in generating electricity from nuclear energy as it prepares for the establishment of its first nuclear plant in Dabaa town, Mahlab said.
The Russian side said it was ready to offer all expertise needed to Egypt in this vital sector and train Egyptians in Russia in this specialization.
