HE Minister of Energy and Industry and Chairman of Qatar Petroleum (QP) Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al Sada has inaugurated a historical exhibition organized by Dukhan Operations' Integrated Facilities Management Department to commemorate QP's 40th anniversary.
The exhibition showcased a visual presentation of the achievements over the years of QP's Dukhan Operations, taking viewers to the past with the first discovery of oil in Dukhan in 1939 to the developments up to the present time and the future of the oil and gas industry in Qatar, the company said in a press release issued Wednesday.
Dukhan Operations' annual Iftar preceded the exhibition in the presence of HE Dr. Al Sada and HE Minister of Environment Ahmad bin Amer Al Humaidi as special guests.
The event, which was held at the Dukhan Recreation Club, was attended by many senior QP officials, including Board Member and Director of Oil and Gas Ventures Saad Sherida Al Kaabi and Director of Operations Said Mubarak Al-Mohannadi.
Other QP directors and department managers, division heads and dignitaries from Doha and Dukhan were also present.
During the event, the guests witnessed a series of traditional activities, including the firing of the Iftar cannon at 6:30 PM.
