Saudi Arabia and Russia have signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of peaceful uses of atomic energy.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Hashim Abdullah Yamani, the President of King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (KACARE) and the Director of the Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation (Rosatom) Sergey Kirienko. The signing ceremony was held on the fringes of the current visit to Russian Federation by Deputy Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, Saudi Press Agency SPA reported.
The Agreement aims to promote and strengthen the relationship between the two countries to the best interest of both sides, both economically and technically. It emphasizes the continuing fruitful cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Russia in economic, technical, and scientific fields.
