President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Sunday received chairman of Germany's Siemens Company Joseph Kaeser in Cairo.
Presidential spokesman Alaa Yousef said that Kaeser briefed Sisi on developments of the implementation of a project to establish three power plants for the production of electrical energy with a total of 14,400 megawatts.
The president was briefed on manufacturing turbines of the three power plants and processing taken to send them gradually to Egypt.
For his part, Minister of Electricity Mohamed Shaker said that implementation rates are going according to schedule to complete the project, which will contribute to meeting the needs of the citizens of electricity, as well as the increasing requirements of the investment sector.
The meeting also reviewed aspects of cooperation between the electricity ministry and the German company to establish six transformer stations with volatge of 500 KV along with developing and raising the efficiency of a number of power plants operating in Egypt to add 800 megawatts to the national grid by next summer.
