Minister of National Planning and Environment Dalila Boudjemaa underlined Algeria’s important role in the sector of environment and sustainable energy, as well as the efforts made by the government to implement President Abdelaziz Bouteflika’s programme.
Boujdemaa highlighted the “efforts made by the government to implement President Abdelaziz Bouteflika’s programme,” at the ministerial segment which was held Thursday and Friday in Nairobi (Kenya), on the sidelines of the first United National Environment Assembly, in the presence of the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.
The efforts made to raise consciousness about environment issues and in transport and clean energy, preservation of biological diversity, fight against desertification and coast protection as well as the household and industrial waste, said Saturday a ministry’s communiqué.
In addition, she called on developed countries “to reinforce the capacities of the countries of the southern hemisphere, especially through technical support, transfer of technology and access to United Nations funds and programmes.”
