The government is studying carrying out new electricity projects with a new strategic vision to the location, Prime Minister Mohammed Salem Basindwa said Saturday. The new projects will achieve the stability and provide what is needed in the power sector, Basindwa said in Sana'a as launching a campaign to publicize a project of establishing the Institution of Vocational Employment for Youths. He spoke of the suffering of the Yemeni people from the repeated sabotage attacks on electricity and oil pipelines, stressing that those saboteurs will be punished strictly. He said that "Those, who try to deter the history course, are being under an illusion. They - whatever do, will not be able to do so. History moves forward and never returns backward." He said that the achievements of the National Dialogue Conference are a practical retort to those who are wishing to impede the progress of the political transition in the country. "Whatever you do and no matter how much you are implicated in sabotage acts, you will not stop the change wheel that has already moves forward and will never go back." In his speech, the Premier reviewed the government's efforts and successes as well as the challenges hindering from achieving more, welcoming constructive criticism to the government's performance. "However, as there are missteps due to the challenges, there are also success stories that should not be disregarded," he said, referring to the Institution of Vocational Employment for Youths. He hoped that the institution would inspire to all youths and stimulate graduates from technical education and vocational training institutes to create their own enterprises. "The Institution is not a funding source, but I believe it will give youths the real capital, which is knowledge, experience and support," the Prime Minister said, adding that it will provide them with the required consultations to carry out their enterprises through centers to be built in 20 governorates. He stressed that it is the youths' right to own the present and the future because they are the maker of the change Yemen witnesses. Institution of Vocational Employment for Youths is to be established in cooperation with a number of governmental bodies, private sector and donors.
