The weather has stabilised in almost all cities on the Eastern Coast, while areas of Khor Fakkan and Dibba Fujairah witnessed light rain early on Sunday morning. Meanwhile, sources at the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) predicted that the weather on Monday would be partly cloudy and dusty in general. The northwesterly winds are expected to be brisk to violent, particularly over the sea, and would stir up dust and sand leading to a drop in horizontal visibility. Temperatures are expected to drop. The winds are expected to blow at speeds of 25-45 km/h over land and at 45-65 km/h over sea. Sources added that the sea is expected to be rough to very rough in general to reach 3-6 feet high onshore and 8-14 feet offshore. Life returned to normal in the coastal city of Kalbaa, after it experienced a rough high tide, which had caused flooding of streets surrounding the Corniche Park. Director of the Kalbaa Municipality Ahmed Hourah said that they managed to control the situation in record time through the use of 10 water tankers and 7 suction pumps to absorb 50,000 gallons of water.
