A South Carolina zoo says it's taking orders for bulk quantities of garden fertilizer made from feces "effortlessly produced" by elephants and other animals. Riverbanks Zoo and Garden in Columbia said gardeners can pre-order bulk loads of "comPOOst" at $43 a cubic yard. Those seeking smaller quantities can buy pint-sized and 2-gallon buckets at the zoo's entrances. The zoo describes its fertilizer as 100 percent, all-natural, "effortlessly produced by some of Riverbanks Zoo & Garden's most famous animals: elephants, giraffes and even zebras!" The fertilizer, it says in its Web site advertisement, is "heavy doodie."
