Car journalists may have got a little carried away when test driving this lightweight sports car. On a rain-soaked morning near Warsaw this Lotus Elise Club Racer, thought to be a press car, collided with a VW as the driver lost control in the wet and came to an abrupt stop as the front wedged neatly under a guard rail. This particular car was registered in the UK and made available to journalists for test drives. It's unclear, however, whether journalists were behind the wheel at the time of the accident, but there were no reports of injuries apart from the sports car's morbid decapitation. At just 876kg, the Club Racer is one of the lightest sportscars on the market and can sprint to 0-62mph in 6.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 127mph courtesy of the 134hp 1.6-liter engine.Photos courtesy of WirtualnyGarwolin.
