In his new role, Bueckmann will be responsible for sales and service operations, leading the Middle East region for Mercedes-Benz passenger cars, and he will be based at the company’s regional headquarters in the UAE, said a statement from the company.

Gaining considerable product management experience that included the successful run-out of the Mercedes-Benz M-Class, Bueckmann was then charged with the management of the Customer Experience Centre and Product Management for Mercedes SLR McLaren in Woking, UK.

In 2007 he returned to Stuttgart where he assumed management responsibility for of the UK and Ireland markets.

In 2009, Bueckmann was appointed as director of sales for Mercedes-Benz Switzerland. His contribution during his five year tenure in Switzerland, let to an almost doubling in both volume of sales and market share for Mercedes-Benz.

Mark De Haes, president and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Cars Middle East, said: “We are delighted to welcome Bueckmann in his new role and have every confidence that his contribution in this region will be pivotal in supporting the continued growth and overall performance of the company.”

“We would also like to thank Dirk Fetzer, whom he succeeded, for his valuable years of leadership and extensive contribution at the company and wish him success in his new role as head of product management S-Class, Mercedes-Maybach, Guard and Pullman in MS/SLS in Stuttgart, Germany,” he added.
