Fresh from launching faster 3G+ and superfast 4G services, Nawras is continuing its link to speed with a company sponsored car preparing to participate in Rally Oman 2013. Driven by Rashid Faqir Al-Balushi, Nawras Legal Assistant, the Subaru Impreza N12 will be lining up on 7 March as part of a competitive 18 car field including former Rally Oman champions. Alongside him will be co-driver Saeed Al Marhoobi, Nawras Project Analyst. Rashid Faqir Al-Balushi said, “I love racing; it has been my passion since I was very young and started karting. Nawras has been extremely supportive of me and all my colleagues have been with me every step of the way since my first race in Rally Oman 2010, where I finished seventh. To have the backing of my colleagues has given me the confidence to compete and I am proud to be a member of the Nawras family. It will be a great honour to drive in our vibrant company colours and I am really looking forward to testing myself against some of the best drivers in the country.” The race will take place over two days in Muscat and the first day will feature a ‘Super Special Stage’ which enables spectators to watch and enjoy all the action before the race moves out of the city. The racing takes place in Sohar in April then Nizwa in October, Sur in November and concludes in Muscat in December. As a keen sponsor of sport in Oman, Nawras is extremely proud to have Ahmad Al Harthy, Oman’s leading racing driver and current Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain Pro/Am 1 champion, as a Nawras Brand Ambassador and a valued member of the Nawras family.
