Dubai - Arabstoday

Toyota's UAE supplier has confirmed it will recall over a thousand cars due to an airbag fault reported by four Japanese manufacturers last week. Al-Futtaim Motors said it would recall 1,104 Toyota Corollas and 36 Lexus SC430’s made between 2001-2003. Honda confirmed in an earlier statement that 1,337 Odyssey, CR-V, Stream and Civic models would be recalled in the UAE. Nissan and Mazda, the two other companies facing the same problem, have yet to announce whether they are recalling any vehicles in the region. Globally, more than 3 million cars could be affected by the faulty part, which can cause “abnormal” inflation of the passenger-side airbag. Source: The National
