The 65 members of the World Car of the Year jury has decided: Volkswagen Up! is the car that wins the prize in 2012. The performance category is won by Porsche 911 and the best design was taken by Range Rover Evoque. World Car of the Year jury has decided: Volkswagen Up! World Car of the Year in 2012, the city model developed by the German mark managed to beat in its march for the title this year another 34 cars, among which included names like BMW 3 Series and Porsche 911. Volkswagen Up! it is thus the first position of the Nissan Leaf, winner of last year, Volkswagen is the third who manages to climb the top of the podium in the last four years, after the Golf (2009) and Polo (2010). According to the jury of 65 representatives from 25 countries, the main advantages that Volkswagen Up! stood in front of the competitors were very good response, sophisticated suspension, engine efficiency and quality of materials and finish.
