A year on from launch, the All New i40 has picked up a number of prestigious awards in Europe – a sign of the success and popularity of Hyundai’s first Europe-focused D-segment vehicle. Most recently, the All New i40 Tourer picked up the acclaimed ‘Company Car of the Year’ award in its segment in Germany, presented by Firmenauto and the vehicle inspection and appraisal organisation, DEKRA. Judged by more than 100 industry representatives, the jury chose i40 Tourer as the winner based on three principal criteria: driving performance, comfort and cost. Senior Vice President and COO of Hyundai Motor Europe, Allan Rushforth, commented, “The All New i40 is a flagship vehicle for Hyundai – our first model in the highly competitive D-segment that’s designed and engineered in Europe, for Europe. It’s quickly established itself as a true contender, celebrating its first anniversary by collecting another prestigious award – a great demonstration of our successful product localisation strategy.” Shortly after going on sale, the i40’s build quality, safety and innovation were recognised by a 500-strong judging panel at the high-profile EuroCarBody Conference, where it received the overall winner’s ‘Gold Award’. The All New i40 has picked up a number of other awards across Europe, each praising the key attributes of the car which have made it so popular amongst European buyers. The All New i40 comes with Hyundai’s market-leading Five Year Triple Care assurance package, comprising a five-year unlimited mileage warranty, five years’ roadside assistance and five years of vehicle health checks.
