The new Audi A8 L was launched in Bahrain at an exclusive event at the Royal Golf Club. Representative of an entirely new A8 model lineup, the new Audi A8 L boasts superb craftsmanship and a broad portfolio of high-end technologies. The range is available in Bahrain now. "As Audi marks its 30th anniversary in Bahrain this month, we can't think of a better way to celebrate than by presenting a completely updated version of our flagship model. The A8 L is a true embodiment of Audi's values of uncompromising quality and sophistication and offers an exciting first look at some of our greatest technological advancements to date," said Audi Centre Bahrain Dealer Principal, Geetan Jessen. “The new A8 L offers an extensive range of equipment as well as new Audi exclusive options, giving every individual taste a wide variety of choices,” he added. The A8 makes Audi one of the innovation leaders in the luxury segment. New assistance systems, more powerful and efficient engines, and the innovative Matrix LED headlights make for an even more superior driving experience, said a statement. One outstanding strength of the sedan is its lightweight construction. The standard-wheelbase A8 50 TFSI quattro has a curb weight of just 1,830 kg – the lowest value among the competitors with all-wheel drive, it said. “The decisive factor here is the body. An Audi Space Frame (ASF) made almost entirely of aluminum, it weighs just 231 kg,” the statement added. The new Audi A8 is the largest sedan in its competitive segment. It is 5.14 m long, has a wheelbase of 2.99 m, is 1.95 m wide and 1.46 m tall. The A8 L gains an additional 13 cm in both length and wheelbase. Source: TradeArabia
