Nissan is set to launch its 2014 GT-R sports car model offering a new level of sophistication, under its vision of ‘innovation that excites.’ The sales of 2014 Nissan GT-R will begin in Japan on December 2, to be followed by sales at Nissan dealerships in other markets worldwide, said a statement. The model offers smoother ride comfort, more refinement and benchmark fit and finish, in the spirit of a great ‘GT,’ while delivering performance and road-holding, it said. The GT-R features fine-tuned suspension aimed at reducing load fluctuation between the four wheels, giving better stability and more consistent grip. It is also fitted as a standard with Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT 600 DSST CTT tires, for precise response in all conditions, while its steering has been fine-tuned to reduce the effort required for in-town maneuvers. The models exterior features high-intensity, multi-LED headlights, adaptive front lighting system headlights, that automatically adapts the angle of the light beam according to the speed of the car. The four LED units are configured with new intensive hi-beam and three different LED low-beams including long-distance-illumination and wide-illumination. The automaker has added a new body colour called ‘Gold Flake Red Pearl,’ which are microscopic gold-tinted glass flakes infused with red paint, said the statement. It also will offer a choice of three interior colour schemes including a new pale ivory trim option, it said. The steering wheel is trimmed in leather, for premium tactility, while the part-aniline leather seats are further embellished with stitched accents, giving the ambience of a genuine GT designed for cross-continental, first-class travel. The model’s advanced body construction features precision constructed, multi-material hybrid body combining steel, carbon fibre and die-cast aluminium to achieve high stiffness and light weight, said the statement.
