Varley’s EV supercar is ready to hit the streets in the ‘land down under.’ Australian specialty and utility car/truck company has just released their EV supercar, the evR-450. This is their first foray into the production road car segment and it definitely does not disappoint. The Varley evR-450 is powered by twin carbon ironless core AC motors, custom-made by Ultramotive Technologies. A 24 kWh lithium-ion battery pack gives the supercar a 100 mile range. It takes 8 hours to charge, however Varley is currently working on a quick-charge system. Performance is pretty impressive for Varley's first EV supercar, capable of hitting 62mph from rest in 3.8 seconds. Top speed is measured at 112mph. A second variant is also available with less performance, running from 0-62mph in 4.6 seconds and having a top speed of only 100mph.Check out Varley's EV supercar offering and let us know what you think about the evR-450 from the land down under.
