Advertising experts anticipated that the local advertising sector would see a positive transformation in the volume of expenditure in this sector this year.
They told Bahrain News Agency (BNA) that the total sum of expenditure on the promotion and advertising sector this year is predicted to exceed an estimated $ 110 million and may reach up to 120 million in best cases thanks to election campaign expenditures.
They ascribed this positive trend to increased expenditure on upcoming parliamentary and municipal election by 5 to 10 million dollars.
Promoseven's chairman Akram R. Miknas said that the year 2014 would be very good for the advertising and promotions sector especially as the upcoming elections shall see a heated fray amongst the contenders whose number exceeds any previous elections.
Gulf Marcom's president Khamis M. Al-Muqla expected the advertising expenditure of contenders and campaign organisers for the 2014 elections to reach $ 10 million. Thus the advertising and promotions sector contributes in boosting the amount of expenditure in this sector to exceed $ 110 million by the end of 2014.
