Cleopatra Media company on Friday lodged a complaint with the head of the audio-visual media industry chamber, Mohamed el Amin, against Promo Media, and Presentation advertising agencies.
Cleopatra Media said that the two agencies filed a misdemeanor lawsuit against its legal representative Mohamed Abu el Enin accusing the company of violating intellectual property rights of the Egyptian Premier League 2015/2016 by broadcasting some goals via a sports program aired on Sada el Balad channels.
The company said that the broadcasting of the goals for the purpose of criticism, discussion or covering important current events is a guaranteed right under articles 171 and 172 of the Egyptian Intellectual Property Law No. 82 of 2002.
