The Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB) hostd an Indian media delegation to highlight Bahrain's investment opportunities and strengthen the bilateral relations.
The Indian journalists represent prestigious media institutions such as "the Hindu Business Line", "The Times of India" and "Entrepreneur India Magazine".
The delegation's visit comes following His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's historic visit to India this year, which reinforced the strong bilateral ties.
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister and EDB's Chairman paid a visit to India in 2012 and 2013.
The 2-day visit includes a number of visits to the institutions of the public and private sectors and cultural monuments.
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) had announced the launch of its first office in the Middle East, in Bahrain, representing the fruit of bilateral trade and investment relations, which will encourage the Indian investments and consolidate bilateral relations.
EDB signed an agreement with Overseas Indian Facilitation Centre (OIFC) aiming at joint work and encouraging bilateral cooperation in various sectors, including financial services and research.
