Spokesman for the Egyptian Foreign Ministry Badr Abdel Aati met on Tuesday with representatives of several Japanese media outlets.
During the meeting, Abdel Aati briefed the Japanese journalists on the latest developments in Egypt as well as Cairo's preparations for hosting a major economic conference, slated for March 13-15.
He also called on the world countries to take part in the anti-terror war, seeing terrorism as posing a threat to international and regional security.
Also, Abdel Aati shed light on Egypt's endeavors to uproot terrorism in the world through spreading the moderate teachings of Islam.
He also hailed strong ties between Egypt and Japan at all levels, stressing that Japan is an 'important partner' for Egypt.
