Iran's Ambassador to Azerbaijan Republic Mohsen Pakayeen emphasized the need for both Iran and Azerbaijan to pave the way for the consolidation of mutual media cooperation in order to access true news released by reliable and professional sources. Speaking at a meeting with President of the APA news agency Vesale Mahir Qeizi in Baku on Friday, Pakayeen said that one of the important topics of the talks Iran and Azerbaijan during visit of President Ilham Aliyev's visit to Tehran was strengthening media cooperation. He further referred to the media role in deepening ties between the two countries, and underlined the necessity of activating joint media committee between Iran and Azerbaijan Republic to confront unhealthy information trends. He expressed embassy's readiness for cooperation with all Azeri media, such as APA news agency to establish interactive communication with Iranian media. Qeizi, for his part, expressed pleasure in expansion of Iran's embassy cooperation with his agency staff. Iran has recently enhanced efforts to boost political, economic and cultural ties and cooperation with the regional and neighboring countries, specially the Central Asian states.
