Brussels - KUNA

The murder of US photojournalist Luke Somers and South African teacher Pierre Korkie earlier Saturday during a rescue operation in Yemen is "yet another terrible example of senseless terrorist violence," a senior EU official said.
"We reiterate our firm commitment and continuing contribution to the efforts of the international community to tackle terrorist violence, in Yemen and the broader region," Catherine Ray, spokesperson for EU High Representative Federica Mogherini, said in a statement.
Somers and Korkie have been announced killed by local Yemeni authorities, after a joint operation to free them carried out by Yemeni and US forces in eastern Yemen.
