Qatari Assistant-Foreign Minister for Services and Follow-up Affairs Rashid bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa opened this evening a special media centre on the eve of the 35th GCC Summit, which will open tomorrow (December9) in Doha. GCC media officials attended the inauguration ceremony.
Arab and foreign reporters have started converging on the new media facility, which is equipped with 100 computers and more than 50 printers, in addition to fax machines, internet and wireless internet service. Studios have also been also been arranged for live Arab Satellite TV broadcast in cooperation with the Qatari TV. An exhibition was yesterday opened on the sidelines of the summit.
