French President Francois Hollande congratulated Abdellatif Kechiche, director of "La Vie d'Adele - Chapitre 1&2" ("Blue is the Warmest Colour"), on winning Palme d'Or at Sunday's closing ceremony of the Cannes film festival. "I extend my warmest congratulations to Abdellatif Kechiche, Lea Seydoux, Adele Exarchopoulos for winning the Palme d'Or prize at the Cannes Film Festival," the French president said in a statement. "La Vie d'Adele - Chapitre 1&2," starring Exarchopoulos and Seydoux, is a three-hour love story about a teenage girl who falls in love with a slightly older woman. Meanwhile, the French head of state said it is a pride for France to see Argentine-born French Berenice Bejo receive the best actress award for her role in the film "The Past." The 66th Cannes Film Festival was held from May 15 to 26 in the southern French riviera.
