Information Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi and Board Chairman of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen) Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa signed at the ministry's premises today a cooperation agreement to train 100 Bahraini graduates in the media field.
The Information Minister stressed that the agreement was concluded within the framework of the ministry's keenness to groom the young national competencies in the media field and prepare them to enroll in the labour market and contribute to the ongoing achievements brought about by the comprehensive reform project of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
The Labour Fund Board Chairman hailed the agreement with the Information Ministry and Tamkeen's participation in funding the professional programme to train 100 Bahraini graduates in the media field so as to boost national competencies, enhance their productivity and promote their employability in the labour market in concordance with the Economic Vision 2030.
At the beginning of the signing ceremony, the Information Minister thanked Tamkeen for concluding the agreement which will enable 100 Bahraini graduates to obtain a professional certificate in the media field with the possibility of employing 20% to 40% qualified trainees at the Information Ministry and private technical production and media companies. He called on creative Bahraini university students and graduates in the media field to subscribe in the programme via the ministry's website or its social media accounts. He pointed out that applications will be processed by a committee of experts and specialists, expressing confidence in Bahraini youngsters and their promising talents as well as their ability to serve the nation in various media and development fields.
