Jordan committee approves the amended Press and Publications Law

The Senate's Media Affairs and National Guidance Committee on Wednesday endorsed the 2014 amended Press and Publications Law as referred by the Lower House of Parliament.
The passage of the law came during a meeting headed by Senator, Saleh Qalab and attended by Minister of State for Media Affairs and Communications, Mohammad Momani
The draft came in line with the restructuring of institutions and government departments' law and its provisions which abolished the Press and Publications Department.
