Meeting
Seoul - KUNA

The visiting Deputy Director General of Editorial Sector Affairs and Editor-in-Chief of Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) Saad Al-Ali on Friday called for boosting cooperation with the South Korean news agency, Yonhap.
Al-Ali, speaking during a meeting of the news agency's chief executive, stated the signing of the cooperation agreement between KUNA and Yonhap "should be translated into opening of new coordination channels." He called on the South Korean side to boost cooperation with States of the Middle East, particularly at the economic level.
The Korean side concurred with Al-Ali on the necessity to enhance the mutual cooperation between the two news networks.
Al-Ali, accompanied by executives of the news agency, toured Yonhap's sections and praised noticeable advancement, particularly at the visual level.
The KUNA chief editor, during the visit to South Korea, lectured at a society in Seoul about investment opportunities in the Middle East in light of diplomatic events, asserting that the business potentials there remain highly lucrative, despite "the Arab spring" events.
KUNA, the top national news organization in the Gulf country, aspires to broaden further its services and connections. It provides news, reports, analyses, holds regular training courses and hosts seminars.
The Kuwaiti news agency was established in 1956. Its staff provide local, regional and international news as well photos, SMSs, phone news service, in addition to its updated website and e-archive.
