Minister of Information Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem Al-Sabah has instructed his ministry's senior officials to necessarily overhaul the Kuwaiti human and technical media systems.
Speaking at a ceremony thrown by the Information Ministry on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha, the ministry the State is eager to provide Kuwaiti mass media with everything they need in order to play a more pioneering and influential role.
The ministry is every interested in developing and upgrading the capabilities of Kuwaiti media staff in order to keep abreast of the current global media and communication advancement, the minister added.
Furthermore, Sheikh Salman called on national mass media to buttress the State's development drive and blueprints and to fan out favorable and valuable messages to the society with a view to promoting moderation and tolerance.
The minister emphasized that it is important to hold fast to Arab and Islamic values and tradition, to decry fanaticism and intolerance and to consolidate national unity.
