The National Media Council (NMC) has participated in the UAE Compassion Campaign "Tarahamu," aimed at raising funds to provide relief to victims and affected people who were trapped in the biting cold in the Levant snowstorm "Huda" recently.
The step came in response to the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to participate in the humanitarian initiative.
The NMC's participation came through raising funds at the Council's offices across the country to collect aid in kind, including winter clothes and blankets that were delivered to the UAE Emirates Red Crescent.
It is noteworthy that this campaign received a response from the Council's staff and their families.
