The Lebanese National Media Council on Friday warned media institutions not to violate the Broadcast Law n? 94/382 which prevents promoting ties with the Israeli enemy. The NMC issued this statement against the backdrop of a Lebanese media institution reporter's violation to this law, when he held an interview inside the occupied territories with the Israeli army spokesperson, Ovijaa Adraei, on June 17 in a report on the situation in Golan Heights. The Council stressed the need to have all institutions compel their reporters to abide by the laws and prevent any future breaches. At another level, the Council hailed the institutions' support to the Lebanese Army Forces and deemed it unacceptable to fabricate information or rumors that might harm the institution or its neutrality.
