Qasr el-Nile Misdemeanor Court on Saturday sentenced former journalists' syndicate chief Yehia Qalash and two members of the syndicate council Gamal Abdel Rehim and Khaled al-Balshi to one year suspended jail sentence over their involvement in sheltering wanted elements at the syndicate premises.
The sentence was issued after the three appealed a ruling by a first instance court.
Qasr el-Nile First Instance Court has previously issued a two-year jail verdict and a fine of 10,000 per each defendant over charges of sheltering wanted suspected inside the syndicate premises.
