Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa
Manama - BNA

Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, affirmed that the Ministry of Information Affairs has been and remains a primary partner in the successes achieved by the youth and sports movement in the Kingdom, through its continued keenness to cover all sport events and activities, and to highlight the achievements made by the Kingdom's clubs and national sports teams.
Shaikh Nasser was commenting on the cooperation with Bahrain TV to live broadcast the events of the Hamilton Ironman Championship in Australia in which the Bahrain Endurance 13 Team will participate with its professional stars, which will be held on the coming Friday, Saturday and Sunday, starting 9:30 am. The event will be aired on the first sports channel of Bahrain TV.
He pointed out that through its step to live broadcast the race on air for three days, Bahrain TV confirms the keenness of its officials to actively participate in spreading the culture of triathlon sport in Bahrain, and to shed light on Bahrain's participation in the tournament, which is one of the strongest international triathlon championships.
Shaikh Nasser said, "We are moving steadily towards spreading the sport of triathlon in Bahrain through the television broadcast. All data and indicators verify that this sport is rapidly taking off among various age groups, that local competitions have become rife with strong participants who compete with enthusiasm for the titles under distinguished media coverage by various media, including Bahrain TV, which is always keen to be present."
